Video Ilie Bolojan, an unannounced visit to Broșteni. What the prime minister wanted to see in the place devastated by floods

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan paid an unannounced visit to Broșteni commune, Neamț county, a seriously affected area by the floods in July. The head of the Government was accompanied by Raed Arafat and the prefect of the county, to evaluate the damage and the intervention of the authorities.

Before reaching the localities devastated by the floods, the head of the government paid an unannounced visit to Târgu-Neamț, where he met with several local and county officials.

Among the participants were Gheorghe Soldan, the president of the Suceava County Council, Vasile Rîmbu, the mayor of Suceava, Raed Arafat, the DSU chief, and Adrian Bourceanu, the prefect of Neamț county. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Târgu-Neamț City Hall, under increased security conditions, the access being restricted to the public and the press, according to the intermediate local telvation.

Subsequently, the prime minister moved to Broșteni, also on an unofficial visit, being accompanied by Gheorghe Soldan.

The program of this day, full of surprise visits to the Moldovan area, was not made public by the government. The first official activity announced by the Executive for the head of the Government is scheduled only on Saturday, in Chisinau, in the Republic of Moldova.

Together with the Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, the prime minister visited the site of the Moldovan Highway and gave insurance regarding the financing of the project.

“Today I was on the site of the Moldovan Highway, on the section Focșani -Bacău, together with the Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, the general director of the National Road Infrastructure Management Company, Cristian Pistol, and with the Romanian entrepreneur Dorinel Umbrărescu.

The value of the works exceeds 14 billion lei. One of the important decisions we made for the financing of the highway, which ensures the connection of Moldova, is its inclusion in the list of projects in the National Plan of Redress and Resilitis.

This means that the necessary amounts will be insured so that, in the autumn of next year, the works on all sections are completed. ”
