A video of Justin Timberlake’s drunk driving arrest was recently released online. In the footage, the artist struggles to walk in a straight line and explains to the police that he is “a bit agitated”.
The footage, published by the Sag Harbor Express on Friday, March 20, 2026, shows the singer as he is pulled over by police after his car was spotted swerving from one lane to another. When an officer asks him what he’s doing, Timberlake replies, “I’m on a world tour. Hard to explain. A world tour. I’m Justin Timberlake“.
Next, the recording captures the moment when the police ask him to take tests for alcohol and banned substances. Timberlake admits that he is “a bit agitated” and that “his heart is beating very fast”trying to walk in a straight line, but steps unsteadily and fails to maintain direction.

The process for blocking the publication of images
The singer previously tried to prevent the footage from airing, suing the Sag Harbor Police Department, Police Chief Robert Drake and local government. Timberlake claimed that publishing the images would provoke him “serious and irreparable damage” reputation and would expose him of “public ridicule and harassment”.
However, the court ruled on Friday, March 20, 2026, that the footage can be released after the artist’s lawyers and the Sag Harbor Police Department reached a settlement. According to Variety , Timberlake had previously waived his privacy objection, stating that the images “does not constitute an unjustified invasion of private life”.

Justin Timberlake was arrested in June 2024 in New York for driving under the influence of alcohol. The police noticed that he changed lanes without reason and did not obey a stop sign. The report stated that the singer’s eyes were “bloody” and “glassy” and that he failed the breathalyzer test.Although he stated that he only drank one martini, Timberlake refused a breathalyzer test.
Three months later, the artist pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, was fined $500 and ordered to perform 25 to 40 hours of community service.
