In a video post on Facebook, the mayor spoke about the Christmas holidays, but also about the need to address the serious problems facing the Romanian state.
“Merry Christmas, dear Romanians! I will spend the holidays with my family and I hope that Christmas finds you with your loved ones, no matter what we have on the table or under the tree. The joy is to be together with them“, said Nicușor Dan, who emphasized the importance of the unit during this period.
The Mayor General did not avoid talking about the difficulties faced by Romania in 2024.We have had a complicated year and a difficult time awaits us. We need to clarify the canceled elections, Romania’s image crisis, both to ourselves and to the rest of the world. We have many things to deal with, including the presidential elections”, said Nicușor Dan.
Next, the mayor said that Romania is in a difficult period, but emphasized that there are reasons for optimism if the problems are correctly identified and the right solutions are implemented. “We are in a complicated situation, but we have been through even more difficult situations. The Romanian state must be reformed. I hope the political forces have understood this. We need to define a plan for Romania, so that we see a positive change both in the next year and ten years from now”he continued.
In conclusion, Nicușor Dan launched a call to action, in which he appealed to all Romanians: “There are many skilled Romanians in all fields, people of good faith, ready to participate in the reform of state institutions. I am calling you to join me in doing what we have known should be done for 35 years. We are too many good people in Romania not to succeed.“
The message ended with a simple wish: “Christmas happy everyone!“
