On Thursday, January 1, President Nicușor Dan presented an assessment of the year 2025, highlighting both the difficulties encountered and the achievements achieved. The head of state thanked the Romanians for the trust and recommended them to look towards 2026 with hope and responsibility.
“2025 was a year of challenges, but also of the courage not to give up in the face of difficult trials. A year in which every step forward required determination, patience and faith in a better future. It was the year of a complex campaign, of important diplomatic visits and of meetings that outlined essential directions for the future of Romania. But above all, it was a year of honest dialogue with people – in the markets, on the streets, in the communities, where you can really feel the pulse of Romanian society. 2025 reminded us that our true strength lies in unity, in the ability to stay together even when the road is difficult, with the common desire to build a future on solid foundations”, wrote Nicușor Dan, on FB.
At the end of the message, the head of state emphasized that he wants 2026 to be a “year of peace, solidarity and trust”.
“I look towards 2026 with responsibility and I wish you all a year of stability, prosperity and fulfillment. Let it be a year of peace, solidarity and trust that we do everything in good faith. Thank you for your trust. Let’s move forward, together! Happy birthday, Romanians!” ”, concluded President Dan.
