Oana Roman is outraged, after paying 45 lei for a baguette with ham and cheese, which is nothing like the original French product.

Petre Roman’s daughter says that the price is exaggerated for salaries in Romania. “This is what Bucharest is like, in Dorobanti. In Paris it costs half of what it costs in Bucharest… at salaries in Romania twice lower, probably, than in France“, she says.
Moreover, the product had melted cheese instead of cheese.
“Today I will tell you the story of the most expensive sandwich with ham and cheese, 45 lei, that is almost 10 euros. I did an experiment, I went to the place where I knew it was the most expensive sandwich with ham and cheese in Romania. It’s this classic French sandwich that should be ham and cheese. It’s not even with cheese, it’s with melted cheese that probably costs a leu. In Paris, I did a documentary, I searched, the most expensive sandwich like this is at the Ritz and costs 15 euros. So 5 euros more expensive than this one. A normal sandwich from this, in any bakery, costs 5 euros”, explained Oana Roman, on Tik Tok.
Moreover, Oana Roman noticed that many products in the store in Dorobanti had names in French, but they were written incorrectly.
“There is one more thing that deeply disturbed me. The names of all the products in this store in Dorobanti were also written in French, only half of them were written incorrectly. (…)If they did a Google search, they would have found out how to spell those names correctly in French“, said Oana Roman.
