Actor and producer Billy Crystal said the home he’s owned for 45 years in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles has been destroyed. The neighborhood is a hilly area along the coast, dotted with celebrity residences and remembered by the Beach Boys in their 1960s hit “Surfin’ USA.”
“Janice and I have lived in our house since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our home was filled with love. Beautiful memories that cannot be taken away. We are heartbroken, of course, but with the love of our children and friends we will get through it“said the Crystals.

American singer and actress Mandy Moore lost her home in the Altadena neighborhood near Pasadena.
“Honestly, I’m in shock at what so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants. So many friends and loved ones lost everything“, the actress wrote in a post made on Instagram.
“Our community is broken, but we will be here to rebuild together. We send love to all those affected and to those on the front lines trying to keep the situation under control“, added the actress.

And Paris Hilton said on Instagram that she lost her home in Malibu. The star posted a video on Instagram, which included images showing his destroyed home, admitting that he learned about it from the news.
“This home was where we built so many precious memories. It is the place where Phoenix took its first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London,” she said, referring to her young children.
“My heart and prayers go out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, memories and beloved pets. (…) The destruction is unimaginable. To know that so many today find themselves without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking“, she also said.
Also, actress Jamie Lee Curtis said on Instagram on Wednesday that her family is safe, claiming that her neighborhood is also on fire. Actor and screenwriter Cary Elwes also wrote on Instagram that his family is safe, but that their home burned in the Palisades Coastal Fire.
Other stars who have houses in the area are Adam Sandler, Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Many are waiting to find out if their homes survived the flames.
More than 1,000 structures, mostly homes, have been destroyed and more than 130,000 people are under evacuation orders in the metropolitan area, from the Pacific Coast inland to Pasadena, a number that continues to change as new fires break out. , reports News.ro.
