The wife of Prince William, the heir to the British throne, officially resumed her royal duties on Tuesday, at Windsor Castle, after announcing in a video on September 9 the completion of her medical treatment, reports AFP, quoted by Agerpres.
“The Princess of Wales patronized a meeting dedicated to young children at Windsor Castle this afternoon“, located west of London, states a message published on Tuesday evening.
According to British media, this is the first official activity of the 42-year-old princess this year. Her work schedule will, however, be adapted to be more simplified in the next period.
Catherine Middleton, Princess of Wales, whose public presence is closely monitored by the press, suddenly disappeared from the media attention after Christmas 2023. Later, in January 2024, she was hospitalized for “an abdominal surgery“. In March, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer, without giving further details about its type.

Princess Kate’s work schedule will include a gradual return to royal activities, she will work from home and her engagements will be carefully selected, the Mirror writes.
Desired engagements include taking part in Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph, an annual event commemorating the war dead, and hosting the Christmas Carol concert at Westminster Abbey. Instead, she will not be attending the William’s Earthshot Prize Awards in South Africa, where Prince William will be attending alone.
