A woman in her 30s has been arrested after opening fire on singer Rihanna’s residence in Beverly Hills, California. The incident happened right when the artist was at home with his partner, the rapper ASAP Rocky, and the couple’s three children.
According to the authorities, about ten shots were fired from a car on the other side of the street. Some bullets hit the outside of the house and a vehicle parked in front of the residence, but none penetrated inside, so Rihanna and her family were safe, writes fox8.
The suspect, who has not been identified, fled the scene, but police were able to apprehend her without incident shortly after the attack. The woman’s motives remain unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators contacted witnesses and the people who made the initial report, gathering information to understand the circumstances that led to the attack.
Police said the safety of the tenants was a priority and there was no indication the attack was planned long-term.
