“How much does a pizza cost in St. Moritz, one of the most expensive cities in the world? I was in the city of the rich for a whole day and it was enough for me. For three and a half hours of parking I paid 50 lei and it was worth it because the city is beautifulbut it’s clearly not what we see on Instagram”, said Mihaela in the video shared on social networks.

St. Moritz is famous for attracting tourists from all over the world, including the extremely wealthy, businessmen, celebrities and members of royal families. The resort is known for its spectacular scenery, clean air and luxurious facilities, which explains the high costs for visitors.

The group of friends started their day with a walk around town. Mihaela said that she wanted to get a souvenir, but the prices immediately stopped her. “I wanted to buy a chocolate as a souvenir because they are famous for it, but a 100 gram chocolate cost 150 lei, so I got a magnet”the young woman explained.

The Romanian also revealed the prices for pizza. In St. Moritz there are not many restaurants, most tourists eat directly at the hotel. However, the group found a pizzeria and ordered a few slices. “When we wanted to eat, we realized that there weren’t many restaurants. In the end, we found a pizzeria and got a slice of pizza, even grandma. The margherita pizza costs 5 Swiss francs, which is about 26 lei, and the chicken pizza 7 francs, which is about 36 lei”Mihaela told on TikTok.

St. Moritz – the resort of Swiss luxury

St. Moritz, located in eastern Switzerland, in the canton of Graubünden, is one of the most exclusive mountain resorts in the world. Located at over 1,800 meters above sea level, the resort attracts billionaires, celebrities and tourists with generous budgets. There are five-star hotels, luxury brand shops and fine restaurants here, and visiting can be an expensive experience even for mundane activities like a quick meal or parking your car.

The origin of the resort’s success dates back to the late 19th century, when hotel owner Johannes Badrutt made a bet with some British tourists: if they came in winter and didn’t like the weather or the experience, he would pay for their return trip. The British accepted, discovered the sun, snow and fresh air, and St. Moritz quickly became a luxury destination, continuing to attract aristocrats, industrialists and celebrities from around the world.
