The co-producer of the South Park series, Trey Parker, had a short and sarcastic response to the fury of the white house compared to the premiere of the last season, which depicts Donald Trump in bed with Satan.

“We are very sorry”,
said Parker, followed by a theatrical silence and an impassive and comical look.

Parker was asked about his reaction to the scandal, on the International Comic-Con in San Diego, at the beginning of an animation panel. Alongside him were his partner from South Park, Matt Stone, the creator Beavis and Butt-Head Mike Judge and actor Andy Samberg, writes The Guardian.

Earlier on the same day, the White House issued a statement about the premiere episode of season 27, broadcast on Wednesday evening. Unlike other characters in the animated series, Trump is represented graphically not by animation, but as a real photo placed on an animated body. The controversial episode contains a hyper-real, deepfake type, with completely stripped trump, wandering through a desert, as well as repeated allusions to the modest dimensions of its genital organs.

The White House criticized the episode hard, accusing the series of lack of relevance and “despair after attention”.

“This series is no longer relevant for over 20 years and clings to a thread with inspirational ideas, in a desperate attempt to attract attention.” said the White House spokesman Taylor Rogers, in the statement. “President Trump has fulfilled more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history – and no fourth hand serial can derail President Trump.”

Within the same panel, Parker and Stone revealed that the producers initially demanded Trump’s genital organ, but refused:

“I told them,” No, you will not blur the penis, “said Parker.

Stone completed ironically: “I put an eye on the penis to be considered a character. It was a discussion with adults for four whole days.”

The premiere also targeted Paramount and the recent $ 16 million agreement with Trump, just a few hours after Parker and Stone signed a $ 1.5 billion five -year contract with the company for 50 new episodes and streaming rights for previous seasons.

In the episode, Trump sue the city of South Park when his inhabitants challenge the presence of Jesus Christ – the real person – in the elementary school.

Jesus tells them they should reach an understanding. “Have you seen what happened to CBS? Yes, well, guess who owns CBS? Paramount”, says Jesus. “Do you really want to get like Colbert?”

CBS and the Paramount Global parent company canceled Stephen Colbert’s Late Show, a few days after Colbert harshly criticized Paramount in the process filed by Trump in connection with an interview given to the 60-minute show. CBS and Paramount directors said the decision to cancel The Late Show was purely financial.

The efficiency of the production of South Park – each episode is achieved in just a few days and can be completed within a few hours of broadcast – it allows it to remain incredibly current for an animated series.

“I don’t know how the episode will be next week,” Parker told Comic-Con. “Even three days ago, we were saying, “I don’t know if people will like it”.
