The sun, crystal clear beaches and spectacular mountains make La Gomera, a small island in the Canary archipelago, the perfect destination for those who want to escape the winter cold.

Travel blogger Elie, known on TikTok under the username @travelswithels, recommends the island as an ideal place for a sunny holiday in the cold season.
“I’m currently in the only place in Europe where it’s still warm and sunny, and that’s because it’s actually next to Africa. You’ve probably heard of the main Canary Islands like Tenerife and Gran Canaria, but have you heard of the little island called La Gomera?”, she asks, in a video that has gone viral.
Elie confessed that she did not know the island before the visit, but after two weeks in “paradise”, she was completely impressed.
“I feel like it’s a real hidden treasure and I have to tell you about it. It has beaches with crystal blue waters, mountains all over the island, several national parks and hiking trails. I definitely recommend staying in San Sebastián. It’s a small and very beautiful city. I stayed at a place called Cactus Co-living, which I recommend to digital nomads. It’s very easy to get here – La Gomera is only a 45-minute ferry ride from Tenerife, so if you visit Tenerife, don’t miss the opportunity to add La Gomera to your itinerary!”, Ellie said, according to the express.
The video has garnered over tens of thousands of views. Commentators mentioned alternatives such as Greece or Turkey, but many were impressed by the beauty of the island.

According to meteorologists, temperatures on the island in November range between 18°C and 24°C, with about six hours of sunshine a day and 68% humidity.
In December, the temperature drops slightly, between 18°C and 22°C, but remains ideal for hiking and tourist exploration.
