A Canadian influencer based in Dubai spent €11,000 on a first class ticket on a Singapore Airlines A380 for a six-hour flight. He shared his experience on YouTube, where the video has garnered more than 80,000 views.
According to the content creator, the flight offers “total privacy”with sliding doors, a luxurious bed, a separate leather armchair and ample storage spaces. Upon arrival on board, Antoine received a travel kit with grooming and beauty products, pajamas from French brand Lalique and a pair of Bang & Olufsen headphones valued at around €450.
The menu, created by five renowned chefs, included caviar, smoked salmon, scallops, crispy lamb chops and an extensive selection of champagne, served in crystal glasses.
The crew provided detailed explanations for each dish and Antoine described the dining experience as “like at a luxury restaurant”.
During the flight, the passenger had access to a spacious bathroom, where he could change into the luxurious pajamas and slippers provided by the company, and the room was prepared for rest, creating the feeling of a “private hotel at 9,000 meters”.
“In my opinion, this was probably the best flight of my life. Although the price is high, the service and quality of Singapore Airlines lives up to expectations,” Antoine wrote in the caption of his video.
The comments of other passengers were divided: some appreciated the experience and recommended the flight for long hauls, others considered the price exaggerated.
“A truly wonderful experience. Did London-Sydney 3 years ago with the wife for Valentine’s Day. Very romantic. Going to repeat the experience at the end of February.” said one netizen.
“Wow, I’d take the longest direct route possible to get on that plane as much as possible. I only eat once or twice a day and don’t drink alcohol, but it would still be worth it.”, someone else said.
“90% of that stuff I wouldn’t even use!“, another netizen commented.
Antoine spent a total of 11,000 euros for the experience he considered “a true first-class throne in heaven.”
