The procedure was carried out from the north, above the city, later, in less than two minutes, the aircraft landed from the opposite direction, after flying over the town of Nojorid.

“This procedure, known as “go-around”, is normal and safe, and pilots can resort to it for several reasons, for example, changing wind direction, cabin not ready for landing, runway not cleared in time by another aircraft/vehicle, etc.

In this case, it was probably a change in wind direction, because the plane subsequently landed on the opposite side of the runway.”according to the BoardingPass Facebook page.

A specialist from Aeroprotul Oradea explained that the HiSky Airbus A320 aircraft was flying from Bucharest and approached Oradea airport from the north, coming down from the city.

“At some point, as can be seen on the footage, the pilot decided to abandon the landing and took altitude, climbing towards Nojorid, where he made a flyover and then repeated the landing from the south direction”explained the specialist for ebihoreanul.ro.

No passengers were hurt.

One of those who commented on the images on the Facebook page said that he experienced two such situations.

“I also attended the second one events of this kind. The first time at Otopeni Airport and the second time at Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul. The sensation is unpleasant, especially when the engines are revved and the aircraft suddenly takes altitude, but I understand the need for this operation, safety is above all else. The wind can be enemy number 1! I think that one of the places I don’t have the courage to visit is… Madeira. I respect the pilots for all their efforts”.
