Shakira proved that the show must go on after she slipped and fell on stage during a recent concert in El Salvador.
While performing the song “Si Te Vas”on Tuesday night in San Salvador during the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, the 49-year-old artist twisted her ankle mid-song, lost her balance and fell on stage, according to Fox News.
Shakira, who was holding the microphone stand, hit the floor with her elbow, but quickly got up and continued the performance.
The four-time Grammy winner later made fun of the trouble, posting a clip of the incident on her Instagram Story and writing: “don’t worry i’m made of rubber hahaha”.
Although Shakira treated the moment with humor, her downfall caused concern among fans.
“Hopefully it was just a sprain and he’s fine”it is also shown in the description. “But not even unexpected moments can dim Shakira’s light. The way she got up so quickly and kept going after slipping and falling on stage in El Salvador was truly inspirational. She’s not just an artist, she’s a fighter! But please take care @shakira”.
Many admirers also expressed their appreciation for the artist’s resilience and professionalism.
“The important thing is that you stood up”someone commented.
Fan reactions also appeared in videos posted on the X platform.
“Only the brave get up and move on as if nothing happened. Kudos to @shakira for setting an example to all women: no matter how many times we fall, what matters is to get up and keep singing and being happy in life”a fan wrote on one of the clips.
Another added: “Very few artists get up and keep singing like nothing happened. Shakira”.
“That elbow is going to hurt tomorrow, I hope it’s okay”someone else commented.
