“Irinel was the Hugh Hefner of Romania!”, said Dan Capatos at Victor Vrânceanu’s podcast, according to Click!, offering spicy details from the “crazy” parties given by Irinel Columbeanu, during the time when the businessman was on the front page of Romanian newspapers.
The singer Anna Lesko was one of Irinel Columbeanu’s great loves. At the age of only 17, the artist born in Chisinau decided to move to Romania to pursue a musical career. The soloist then met Irinel Columbeanu, who was 39 years old. Irinel and Anna met in 1996, when the artist was dancing in a ballet troupe. The two began a love story that lasted for eight years. It was the glory days of Irinel Columbeanu, who used to throw lavish parties with influential people at his villa in Izvorani.
Dan Capatos met Irinel when he was working as editor-in-chief at Playboy magazine.
“My biggest failure at Playboy was Anna Lesko who I stuck with for a year (no posing in Playboy). Then was the period when I also met Columbeanu, then was the period when I knew Columbeanu’s parties and I met the people who came to Columbeanu’s parties and the girls from that time and all that absolutely fabulous life”, revealed the host of “A Sinful Show” during the podcast.
“Irinel was dressed as a Roman emperor”
Dan Capatos recounted in luxurious detail how a party organized by Columbeanu went. They were real orgies, as revealed by Capatos, who witnessed one.
“You entered that famous villa and Irinel received you… He was dressed as a Roman emperor… with a toga like that, with sandals, with those laurels on his head… Roman emperor.
