The most beautiful beaches are Cala Macarella, Cala Mitjana and Cala en Turqueta.

How much money did Romanians spend on holidays abroad?

According to an analysis carried out by UBB researchers, in June Romanians spent 758 million euros abroad, while foreigners spent 322 million euros in Romania.

“The month of August generally represents the vacation period, thus being the best period for the tourism industry. Although the most recent data was published only up to and including June 2024, the statistics of recent years show a dynamic revival of tourism after the critical moments of the industry in the first period of the pandemic, which apparently portends a new effervescent season in 2024”, according to the analysis of researchers from the Romanian Economic Monitor, within the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Management (UBB).
