Video traffic on Transalpina, stopped because of the adverse weather. It is the second time in a week when such a decision is taken

The traffic on Transalpina is stopped starting on Thursday, being for the second time this week when such a decision is made, due to the adverse weather.

“Due to the unfavorable weather conditions (snow), starting today, October 02, at 09.00, the road traffic will be temporarily stopped on DN 67C (Transalpina), on the kilometric section 34+800 meters – 59+800 meters, between the localities of Rânca (Gorj county) and Obârșia Lotrului”states the Infotrafic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police.

The traffic on the same section was stopped until Wednesday morning, due to the blizzard and pole.

Meteorologists have announced that from Thursday until Saturday night the temperatures will be low, it will rain, and in the mountains it will snow. Areas of the southern half of the country will be in this interval under significant rain warning and wind intensifications.

At the mountain, at over500 meters altitude, the snow layer could reach 30 – 40 centimeters.
