Originally from the English city of Brighton, George and Lucy have so far traveled to dozens of countries and hundreds of cities across the planet and share their travel experiences both on The Juicy Vlog YouTube page, where they have over 581,000 subscribers, and and on the Facebook page of the same name, where they have no less than 754,000 followers.
And their impressions of Bucharest presented in a film on YouTube have already gathered almost 20,000 impressions and numerous positive comments related to the capital of Romania in less than a month.
George and Lucy rented an apartment for a few days on Calea Victoriei in the Capital, and Bucharest conquered them. “I can say without hesitation that Bucharest is the most surprising city in Europe that I have visited so far, and I say that in the best sense of the word”tells George, who adds that a stone’s throw from the center of Bucharest, in a cafe on the ground floor of the block where they stayed, he drank one of the best coffees in the world.
“We also really liked the Old Center of Bucharest, which is simply amazing. And the architecture of the buildings somehow reminded us of Prague, but we liked the capital of Romania more, it’s somehow like a mixture of special places. Who would have thought that Bucharest is such a cool city? You find beautiful buildings on practically every street corner in the central area of the city”says Lucy, the British tourist who is as passionate about traveling as her husband.
George and Lucy went one day with their child to the Stavropoleos church, built in 1724, during the reign of Nicolae Mavrocordat and also one of the most beautiful places of worship in Romania, which constantly attracts numerous visitors from the country and from abroad.
“I can’t believe how charming this church is located right in the center of Bucharest and which is somehow like a hidden gem, it has some unique architectural lines and it is a space with a special charm that gives it a special peace of mind. We will definitely return to Romania in the coming years to visit other special areas”George confesses.
