The 23-year-old woman, who died in the devastating accident in the Olt Valley, was pregnant and preparing to become a mother for the second time. Ana-Maria, from Cisnădie, left behind a small child and a husband hospitalized after the violent impact on DN7, Valea Oltului.
Ana-Maria was in the car with her husband, when the car they were traveling in was violently hit by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction and suddenly entered the opposite direction.
The violent impact sent their car off the road and overturned near a railroad track. The blow was fatal for the young mother. She remained imprisoned between the contorted beasts, and rescue crews urgently intervened to extract her.
After being taken out of the car, the young woman was transported by the SMURD helicopter to a hospital in Craiova, but the doctors were unable to save her life. Ana-Maria died on the same day.
According to relatives and public information on social networks, the young woman was living a fulfilling life with her husband and their little boy, who was waiting for her at home.
The family was soon to grow, Ana-Maria being pregnant with her second child. She was passionate about gardening and loved to travel, writes Ora Sibiu.
The victim’s husband, a 27-year-old man, was injured in the accident and is admitted to the County Hospital in Sibiu, where he is receiving medical care.

The tragedy occurred on Monday, on DN7, in the area of Racovita, on Valea Oltului.
From the images captured by the dashboard camera, you can see the moment when the two vehicles collide strongly. As a result of the impact, the car driven by the 27-year-old was projected into the railway area, and three people were injured, including the 23-year-old passenger.
“As a result of this traffic incident, three victims resulted, namely the 27-year-old driver, a 23-year-old female passenger from the same car, as well as a female passenger from the other vehicle. The two drivers were tested with the alcohol test device, the results being negative. The road and rail traffic are temporarily blocked for the intervention of the crews and the carrying out of investigations on the spot. In this case, the police are continuing the investigations to establish exactly all the circumstances in which the accident occurred road”, sent IPJ Vâlcea.
