Sir Anthony Hopkins, approaching 87, is an example of optimism and determination. The Welsh actor posted, on Saturday evening, on Facebook, a video in which he appears dancing in the house to the famous song from “Zorba the Greek”.
Full of energy, the famous actor from “The Silence of the Lambs” and “The Remains of the Day” he also has an exhortation for his fans and followers.
“Dance like nobody’s watching!”says the actor in the message accompanying the images, which have gone viral.
“It’s one in a million!”
The post has hundreds of thousands of views and has attracted a wave of reactions:
“Does anyone else agree that he’s such a good actor that seeing him as a real person dancing around his house is somehow creepier than him in Silence of the Lambs?”, someone commented.
“This man… He is one in a million!,” another person reacted.
“I hope I can move like this when I’m 86!” another follower wrote.

“Like any Welshman, a man of many talents – actor, concert pianist, singer and dancer. Keep up the good work Tony!”, reads one of the more than 6,300 comments.
This is not the first time that the actor has posted pictures of himself dancing.
“Hey goomba, do you like how I dance the rumba…?”the actor wrote, in November 2023, in the message that accompanied the video in which he appeared dancing in the kitchen.
The actor will be 87 years old on December 31, 2024.
Last year, Anthony Hopkins made public a video message addressed to his fans on the occasion of his 48th anniversary of giving up alcohol.
“But if you have a hangover, remember me! I don’t have anymore, because today, 48 years ago, I stopped. I got help for this and my life changed. I don’t envy you having fun there, but if you need help, it’s there“, confessed the Hollywood actor.
Three years before, Anthony Hopkins had revealed, in an interview for The New York Times, what made him give up alcohol.
The actor said he woke up in a hotel room in Arizona, but couldn’t remember how he got there.
“I thought, Well, I have to stop because I’m either going to kill someone or kill myself“, he recalled. “My life, from that moment on, took on a new meaning”the actor also confessed.

In his spectacular career, Hopkins was rewarded with two Academy Awards. He got the first one in 1991, for the role in “The silence of the lambs“. Three years ago, the actor won his second Oscar for the film “The Father“.
