The number of service pension beneficiaries was, in October 2024, 11,723 people, down by 54 people, compared to the previous month, of which 8,001 beneficiaries with a pension from the State Social Security Budget – BASS (contributory).

Most of the pensioners who received a service pension were beneficiaries of Law 303/2022 on the status of prosecutors and judges, respectively 5,637, of which 2,619 with a pension from BASS. In their case, the highest average service pension was also registered, of 25,176 lei, of which 21,918 lei was the share borne from the state budget, and 7,279 lei from the state social insurance budget, according to Agerpres.
According to the CNPP, by Law no. 216/2015 regarding the granting of service pensions to members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps of Romania benefited, in October, 816 people (716 with contributory pension). The average pension was 6,907 lei, of which 2,973 lei pension from the state budget.
Regarding the beneficiaries of Law 215/2015 for the amendment and completion of Law 7/2006 on the status of parliamentary civil servants, their number was 893 people (667 with contributory pension), the average pension amounting to 6,131 lei (3,509 lei from the state budget).
According to the National Public Pension Fund, 1,387 pensioners benefited from Law 83/2015 to supplement Law 223/2007 regarding the status of professional civil aeronautical personnel in civil aviation in Romania (all with contributory pension), and the average pension amounted to 12,987 lei, of which 8,158 lei are borne by the state budget.
Service pensions for beneficiaries from the Court of Accounts were granted to a number of 685 people (684 with contributory pension), the average being 10,125 lei, of which 2,308 lei the share borne from the state budget.
Also, 2,305 pensioners benefited from Law 130/2015 to supplement Law 567/2004 regarding the status of specialized auxiliary staff of the courts and Prosecutor’s Offices (1,928 with contributory pension), the average pension being 6,713 lei, of which 3,954 lei borne from the state budget.
