The Romanian coast is increasingly difficult to keep up with the resorts in Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria or Albania, which is why more and more tourists choose the resorts outside. This is also because, in some cases, the beaches of the resorts on the Romanian coast are not yet ready to receive tourists, even though the summer season has started.
Images of unkempt, dirty beaches, hard to look at, have become quite common when it comes to the Romanian coast. Not by chance, foreigners are a rarity in Romanian resorts, but even Romanians opt for other destinations, fed up with high prices and poor conditions. At the same time, millions of Romanians choose to spend their holidays in countries such as Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria or Cyprus. This does not mean that the Romanian coast lacks tourists, only that many of them are not satisfied with what they find there.
On one of the Facebook groups dedicated to vacations spent in Romania, a tourist posted a message and some photos showing the conditions in the Jupiter resort.
“Avoid Jupiter Resort! The beach is a disaster. And between Jupiter and Neptune everything is like after the war. I consider that I made an ok gesture… know what awaits you”is the post that caused a lot of reactions.
What do the Romanians think?
“The sea, the sun and everything that nature has given us are a blessing. Enjoy life wherever you are. Let’s see the beautiful side, we will be beautiful too! I wish you all a wonderful summer regardless of where you are!”, commented a lady.
“Yeah, break your legs on our money”, the author of the post replied. “Ephoria South. Black Sea! Our country! Authentic beach with the smell of shells and anchovies. I love her!”, the lady did not let herself down. “You forgot the seaweed, probabil”, their duel continued.
“Yes, it is like after the war because they are working on widening the beach“, explained a tourist from the spot. “I think you can’t see well” the author of the post also replied. “Fortunately, I can still see well because I’m at Neptune”came the impassive reply.
“Avoid Romania”, someone gave the verdict, but it was immediately contradicted. “Fads. And Romania is written with a big R”another lady intervened. “Come on lady, the subject was different. But we Romanians…,” attempted the author of the original post.
“What do the Romanians have? You know what they don’t have? They don’t know how to enjoy themselves. And it’s sad. In the photo, also Eforie Nord, it’s wonderful, isn’t it?“, the lady returned, and her message was accompanied by a gorgeous photo.

“The beach at Eforie Nord, excellent accommodation conditions, moderate prices. Perfect!“, wrote a lady who posted a beautiful photo. However, it was immediately countered by someone else, who responded with a photo showing algae that had invaded a beach. “It must have been a storm at sea, I went last week and it was perfect”he was answered.
“We also went to Eforie today, but we didn’t see so much algae”someone else added.
“It’s worse at Cape Aurora. Instead of sand there is mud. You cannot enter the water by the boulders. The same boulders that no one has taken out for 50 years”, wrote an outraged lady. “But what about that beach? Is it gross that it’s not full of scumbags, seed pods and beer steins?”, someone asked. “ITIs Neptune and Saturn OK?”, asked another. “In Neptune (between Flags and Jupiter) the beach is in the works! Saturn is ok!”, came the prompt reply.

“I do not understand! Are just some stones the big problem? Everything else is clean around? There are extremely many gorgeous beaches 100% made of stones, without a trace of sand”, commented another lady.
“Pay close attention to what you leave in your cars, and especially where you park them! We had our car broken into in the middle of the day, at 3:00 p.m. to be exact, in Corbu,” someone warned.

I got to Cape Aurora on Thursday, I tried the beach there and the one in Jupiter and you can’t go in the water because of the stones in the water, you risk breaking your legs. We went with Bolt in Saturn, to Lara Beach or Recif and it was ok. And there are stones there, but not as many as in Jupiter or Cape Aurora. For us it was ok. We preferred to use the Bolt because of the parking space. In Neptun, work is underway to widen the beach”someone else said.
