On October 23, the government approved the decision regarding the organization of partial local elections on December 7, both for the position of general mayor of the Capital and for the vacant positions in other localities.
The electoral campaign lasts only 15 days. When does it begin
The electoral campaign for the partial elections on December 7 is significantly shorter, the duration being only 15 days, compared to the 30 days provided for the local elections organized on time.
Thus, the electoral campaign will start on November 22 and end on December 6, at 7:00 a.m. After this term, electoral propaganda of any kind is prohibited.
Until applications can be submitted
On November 11, the period for submitting candidacies for the position of mayor in the following electoral constituencies begins: Remetea commune, Bihor county; Mihai Eminescu commune, Botoșani county; Marga commune, Caraș-Severin county; Dobromir commune, Constanța county; Lumina commune, Constanța county; Găesti city, Dâmbovița county; Sopot commune, Dolj county; Valea Ciorii commune, Ialomița county; Vânători commune, Iasi county; Poienile de sub Munte commune, Maramureș county; Șieu commune, Maramureș county; Cârța commune, Sibiu county.
On November 12, the period for submitting candidacies for the position of president of the Buzău County Council and for the position of general mayor of the municipality of Bucharest begins.
In both cases, the deadline for submitting applications is November 17.

November 11 – The period for submitting candidacies for the position of mayor in all 12 localities in the country begins.
November 12 – The period for submitting candidacies for the position of general mayor of the Capital and the position of president of the Buzău County Council begins.

December 8 – Counting the votes, concluding the minutes and drawing up the files with the voting results. Delivery to the constituency electoral office of the files containing the voting results in the polling station. Applications can also be made for the annulment of elections in a constituency.
