On January 8, they returned to school, on February 10, go on vacation again. These are the students from Bistrița-Năsăud county, the first to have a week of fun. The decision belongs to the school inspectorate in this county.
Ski holiday 2025. Calendar by counties
Unlike the decision of the Bistrița School Inspectorate, most inspectorates in the country chose the third week of the month, more precisely February 17-21, for children’s vacation.
- February 10-14, 2025: Bistrița-Năsăud county;
- February 17-21, 2025: The municipality of Bucharest and Ilfov, Bihor, Sălaj, Cluj, Timiș, Hunedoara, Caraș-Severi, Mehedinți, Gorj, Vâlcea, Olt, Argeș, Teleorman, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Prahova, Buzău, Călărași, Ialomița, Ialomița Vrancea, Braila and Vaslui;
- February 24-28, 2025: Satu-Mare, Maramureș, Arad, Dolj, Albiu, Sibiu, Mureș counties, Suceava, Harghita, Brașov, Covasna, Neamț, Botoșani, Iași, Bacău, Galați, Tulcea and Constanța.
The following students’s holidays
The next holiday in the structure of the school year 2024-2025 will start on Friday, April 18, 2025, and will last until Sunday, April 27, 2025. The summer holiday, the one that ends the school year, starts on Saturday, June 21, 2025 and will last until Sunday, September 7, 2025.
Structure of the school year 2024-2025. Learning modules
- Module I – September 9, 2024 – October 25, 2024;
- Module II – November 4, 2024 – December 20, 2024;
- Module III – January 8, 2025 and will be held until Friday, February 7, 2025, respectively Friday, February 14, 2025 or Friday, February 21, 2025. The date will be established, as the case may be, at the decision of the county school inspectorates/of the municipality of Bucharest;
- Module IV – February 17, 2025, respectively Monday, February 24, 2025 or Monday, March 3, 2025, at the decision of the school/county inspectorates/of the municipality of Bucharest and will be held, as the case may be, until Thursday, April 17, 2025;
- Module V – April 28, 2025 – June 20, 2025.
Exceptions from school structure for 2024-2025
For students in the 12th day, XIII evening and reduced frequency, school year 2024-2025 will have a duration of 34 weeks of courses and will end on June 6, 2025.
For students in the eighth grade, the 2024-2025 school year will last 35 weeks of courses and will end on June 13, 2025.
For classes in high school education, the technological chain, except for the terminal classes, but also for the classes in vocational education, the school year 2024-2025 will last 37 weeks of courses and will end on June 27, 2025.
How to organize the programs “School otherwise” and “Green Week”
The national programs “School otherwise” and “Green Week” will be held until May 30, within 5 consecutive working days. The development of the two programs will be planned in intervals of different courses. The decision to plan the period is at each educational unit.
