Many Romanians have reserved their stay for May 1, choosing a destination or another according to preferences and the money in the wallet. Prices are comparable to last year. The mountain is more expensive than at sea.
The Danube Delta is one of the destinations searched by May 1: Ovidiu Oprea
Almost half of the hotels on the Romanian coast open their accommodation spaces for tourists from May 1, the sea, for this time, the first choice. The occupancy rate for the spaces that started their activity reached 65-70 %, and the prices are comparable to last year, where these increases were more than 10-15 %.
The biggest rates, however, are in the mountain and neither the Danube Delta, which for photography enthusiasts and not only is heaven on earth, is not left behind.
The lowest tariff for the coast, on May 1, is 383 lei/room/stay of 3 nights, without table services, in Eforie Nord, at a 3 -star villa (with a 10% discount until April 30, 2025). In the Danube Delta, also for 3 nights of accommodation, in Sulina, also at a three -star board, the tariff reaches 707 lei. In the mountains, under the same accommodation conditions, the price is 772 lei, and in Călimănești, one of the destinations Balaneo, the lowest tariff for 3 nights, this time with breakfast included, reaches 821 lei.
Tourists who have reserved a larger budget, opting for additional services, can also take into account the Danube Delta, where the highest tariff for 3 nights, with half board, barbeque and beer on the part of May 1 reaches 3,456 lei.
On the coast, also for 3 nights (Penthouse 4 bedrooms, without table services), the tariff reaches almost 5,000 lei at a 4 -star apthotel in Mamaia.
At the mountain, at the 4 -star hotel, in Poiana Brașov, tourists can pay up to 3,351 lei/room/3 nights with breakfast included.
For those who are looking for multiple relaxation options in Balneo resorts, the highest tariff is 4,407 lei/room/stay 3 nights with half board, Finger Food, SPA procedures and free access to Aquapark at a 5* hotel in Băile Felix.
“From 1 more everyone goes to sea”
The coast remains the first option for Romanians who choose to spend the mini-vacation in the country, says the vice-president of the National Association of Travel Agencies, Adrian Voican. This was seen and Easter, when those who waited for a whole winter rushed, taking advantage of the good weather, to meet the sea.
“It matters a lot and the weather. But the weather is more important for Mamaia, for Eforie. To Vama Veche, it can rain and be cold, the world goes, because, that’s it,
For customs the places are occupied since February-March, here are about 10,000-15,000 tourists.
Vama Veche was forced to cope with a big challenge last year, when they put their staff lack and constant increase in costs, but this year the surprises will be pleasant for tourists.
“The simplest thing was to increase the prices. But at one point the prices reach a ceiling and people don’t buy. And this phenomenon happened last year in Customs. Last year it was a bad year for customs, for example, maybe few people know. And this year people reinvent themselves. I saw that the locations are restored, a few rows of operators, patrons, tenants are changing, trying with another method, trying with new offers and reinventing the spirit of the customs of the first years, because there are many nostalgics. The reed was torn down, the reed is restored and several locations are restored there and we will see a refresh, a new energy this year ”Voican completed
If for tourists from Vama Veche matters too little what the weather will be like, in other resorts things will be different. Next, Mamaia will rely on events, concerts and clubs remaining attraction. In Eforie, if the weather is capricious, there are hotels that can offer various pampering services, because they have heated water pools, they offer spa services, etc.
What happened good on the coast, said the ANAT vice president, is the fact that the bid for beaches has been done for 10 years, and “people will have the courage to do things Not only so on the run, you put them in June and gather them in September, but to make them more head, for longer and invest more, which is good. “
What was good, and this is seen in sales, it is about the undecision of the government in terms of granting holiday vouchers, postponing so much to adopt a decision that people missed the promotions.

Tourists will have pleasant surprises on the coast, in 2025, say the people in tourism: Ovidiu Oprea
“I did not have the holiday vouchers in the first part of the year and I did not even have the legislation set, ie the rules of application. I only knew that they reduced from 1,600 to 800 lei, but I did not know at all how they would apply. (…) The authorities were stamped. Holiday, the great early registration campaign, which worked in January, February and March, with 25%, 30%, 40%, has expired.said Voican.
