Ryanair has revealed which colors you shouldn’t choose when checking in at the airport.

It’s no wonder that grey, blue and black are the most common colors for suitcases, making it difficult for passengers to find them. Your luggage can very easily be mistaken for someone else’s if it has no distinguishing element.

Ryanair advised passengers to avoid these colors altogether or put a special sign to stand out.

“Do it in such a way that it is easier to identify your checked baggage, especially if your baggage is black, dark blue or gray (as is the case with 99.9% of the population)”, the airline recommended.

Add a colorful luggage tag or ribbon to the handle so there’s no confusion on arrival”Ryanair also indicated.

The head of Frankfurt Airport, Stefan Schulte, even warned travelers to avoid the color black after the airport experienced problems with luggage.

He said it was “difficult to distinguish them from each other,” and an airport spokesman added: “Many people travel with black luggage, which makes it very time-consuming to identify them“.

Apart from the color, travelers should also pay attention to the material from which the suitcases are made.
