Who is Crinel Nicu Grosu, the new head of the Control Body of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. Worked at DGA and ANAF

Ilie Bolojan named Friday, September 5, as head of the Prime Minister’s Control Corps, with the rank of Secretary of State, Crinel Nicu Grosu. The appointment decision was published in the Official Gazette. He worked in the General Anticorruption Directorate (DGA) and ANAF.

The government announced that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan was appointed to the position of head of the Prime Minister’s control body, with the rank of Secretary of State, Crinel Nicu Grosu.

“The appointment decision was published today in the Official Gazette no.823”the government said.

The position of head of the control body remained vacant, on July 2, after Adrian Nicuşor Nica was released from the post and appointed president of ANAF.

Crinel Nicu Grosu was born on November 15, 1978. According to the CV, Crinel Nicu Grosu graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy in 2002. He did postgraduate studies in international relations at the same educational institution.

Between 2005-2007 followed the master’s degree in international relations and European institutions, at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza Academy. It also has a master’s degree in “in-depth studies in the field of public order and national security”, between 2014-2016.

Crinel Nicu Grosu held several positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the Special Service, to the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, but also within the Border Police.

His first job was between August 2002-April 2003, at the Police Academy being a platoon commander (police instructor). Subsequently, from 2003-2006, Crinel Nicu Grosu was the main officer-control service, within the border police.

Between 2006-2014, he worked as a principal specialist officer-the Directorate of Inquiries-Service Operations, within the General Anticorruption Directorate.

Also, between 2014-2018, he was a senior advisor within ANAF.

Between January 2017-January 2018, he was head of service within ANAF.

In this position, the identification and documentation of the potential conflict and/or incompatibility situations in which the ANAF staff could be found. At the same time, he also performed internal control actions ordered by the management of ANAF – the General Directorate of Integrity.

During the period April 2019, the 2025, he was the main specialist officer-the Special Service, at the General Anticorruption Directorate-the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to his CV, from July 2025 until now, he held the position of authorized chief of the Operational Bureau within the Special Service, of the General Anticorruption Directorate.

The main activities carried out were: the coordination of the activities carried out at the level of the operative bureau; planning and coordinating the activities in which undercover investigators are used in cases of the competence of the General Anticorruption Directorate; Representation of the special service in the relationship with the units of parquet and other institutions.
