According to the death certificate issued by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, the primary cause of death was a blood clot in the lungs.

The document also mentions rectal cancer as a secondary condition. Catherine O’Hara was rushed to the hospital on January 30 after experiencing breathing difficulties at her home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, and was pronounced dead shortly after admission.
