If you're in your 20s and think you've found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you should think again. Boston-based divorce and prenuptial agreement attorney Tyler Summers revealed why young adults shouldn't be in a rush to take the big step, the NY POST reports.

In a video posted on TikTok, which has garnered 3.5 million views, he explains why young adults should wait until at least their 30s to get married.
“At 20 you're still discovering yourself” Summers noted in the clip posted on July 7. “You have no idea what you want in the long run“, the lawyer also said.
According to him, those who marry in their 30s already have a career, are mature and ready to have a long-term relationship.
Couples who marry in their 20s are 50 percent more likely to divorce than couples who wait until an older age, according to a 2016 study by Psychology Today, which stated that the best age to get married is between 28 and 32 years old.
“The person you marry at 21 will be a completely different person at 28“, Summers added.
His advice divided netizens into two camps: some agreed with what he said, while others disagreed.
“I got married at 21 and I have no regrets. We grew up together“, one woman wrote in the comments section of the post.
“Get married when you want. There is no correct age“, another netizen said.
However, there were also a few people who agreed with Summers' opinion.
“30 is the perfect age!“, said another user of the platform.
“Everyone who disagrees with you is in their 20s”another person commented.
