We remind you that road traffic on DN 7, Valea Oltului, was closed for a month, starting from July 8, for deforestation works, in order to prepare the land for the construction of the Sibiu – Pitesti highway.
The cars cannot circulate between 06.00 and 20.00, except for those of the intervention institutions, which will be accompanied by the builder’s crews. River residents benefit from two special intervals to be able to go/return from work.
“The contractor continues the execution of the rainwater collection works on the slope.
As a result of the operations in which heavy machinery is also involved, the risk of trees, rocks and earth masses falling on the road during the day remains high.
The teams dealing with traffic safety are also mobilized to intervene urgently if the situation requires it.
Where there is a danger of rocks, trees or tree roots falling down the slope onto the carriageway, the contractor has installed concrete parapets.
If, during the night, risky situations arise, road traffic will be closed, and the contractor’s teams will intervene as soon as possible.
These measures are part of the obligations of the contractor who must act in such a way as to avoid the occurrence of dangerous events for movement on DN7.
We remind you that on DN7 (Boita – Lazaret sector) traffic is carried out between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. for all road users, and between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., only for residents.
Work resumes every day at 6:00 a.m. until August 9”, it is stated in the post made on Facebook by the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company.
