Forget motion sickness! A new feature that will revolutionize the way you use your phone in the car

Good news for those with motion sickness. Apple has unveiled a new feature that will help you fight motion sickness while using your phone in the car, the NY Post reports.

Vehicle Motion Cues is part of a series of new features that will be available on both iPhone and iPad “during this year“.

Research shows that motion sickness is commonly caused by a sensory conflict between what a person sees and what they feel, which can prevent some users from comfortably using an iPhone or iPad while in a moving vehicle“, Apple explained in a press release.

While using the feature, animated dots representing changes in vehicle movement will appear on the edges of the screen to help reduce sensory conflicts, according to the tech giant.

Thus, when the vehicle turns left or right, accelerates or brakes, the points will move in a certain direction.

And crucially, the dots are small enough that you don't have to worry about them affecting the content you're watching.

Vehicle Motion Cues can be set to show automatically on your iPhone — because the device's built-in sensors can detect when you're in a moving vehicle — or it can be turned on and off in Control Center.

These innovations include a broader version of accessibility features for Apple devices, including Eye Tracking – a feature that will allow users with physical disabilities to control their iPhone or iPad using their eyes.
