A compatriot living in Germany sent a message that went viral on Tik Tok for Romanians working abroad. The Romanian woman advises them to spontaneously decide to return to Romania, if they feel the best in the country, because otherwise they will delude themselves endlessly.

Nicoleta Gherasimoae, a Romanian settled in Germany for 20 years, believes that Romanians often fool themselves, telling themselves that at some point they will return to the country, but they use every opportunity to postpone the decision.
“I came to the conclusion that if you don't leave Germany spontaneously, so from today to tomorrow, say stop, you will never leave. Or you will leave, but very hard or very late. That's not how it's done. Did the thought come to you? The knife has reached your bone. Put your hand up and go. Pack your bags, resign me, stay the three months or as long as you have to stay at work and then go home to yourself, where your soul, your heart, where you think you are close to God. Stop it! Because that's how one and the other arise: it's work, you have to stay a little longer, and the child hasn't turned 18 yet. You end up mentally ill. Make a decision, never regret it. Arm yourself with strength and patience and go. He goes where his soul desires. “Something always comes up”
Nicoleta says that you don't really have anywhere to spend your money in Germany, even if you do manage to put something aside at some point. The Romanian woman is determined to return to Romania.
“If you don't make a spontaneous decision, you'll never leave this country again. Something always comes up. Thus pass the years, thus pass the days, thus pass the youth. This is the truth. And that's what I think I'm going to do. I will make a spontaneous decision and that will be enough. Because I'm sure I'll succeed, but I don't want to live life in this routine: work, home, tiredness, weekend and then work again and so on. I don't want it for all the money in the world. And if you have 200 euros left in Germany, you can't enjoy them. Where do you go to spend it? Do you know something? It was taken from me. As Romania is, I want to go there, I want to live there. Reactions to Nicoleta's Tik Tok post were quick to appear. Some compatriots say that they would not return to the country for a miserable salary, while others have already returned and are doing well, and some are going to return to Romania.
“I stayed for 25 years, I will stay for another 25 … In Romania it will be woe to me … I work for 3,000 lei.”, wrote a Romanian.
