The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, declared that the works on lots 1 and 2 of the A7 Ploieşti-Buzău Highway will be completed in the fall of this year.

The minister made a working visit on Tuesday to check the status of the works on this objective. On the two lots, the works were completed in a percentage of approximately 70%, he specified, writes Agerpres.
“Last month we gave some targets for batch 1 and batch 2, somewhere at 65% on batch 1 and towards 70 on batch 2, the targets were exceeded. The next month when I come to the first batch we reach somewhere at 75%, the one from Dumbrava in Mizil, on Mizil – Pietroasele, the progress will be close to 80%. Congratulations for everything they have done on batch 1 and batch 2, which leads us to the situation where the assumed deadline, October this year, will be respected. The pace is very good, around 650 workers on batch 1, also 600, even better on batch 2, hundreds of machines. In the fall of this year, these two batches will be completed”said the Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu.
On the third lot, Pietroasele-Buzău, works are being carried out at a normal pace, but with delays due to contradictory decisions.
“Work is going very well on lot 3 Pietroasele-Buzău. Unfortunately, that bitter taste remains that I have when last year in July, August the contracts were signed on lots 1 and 2. It could be ready at the end of this year and the lot 3 if what we said initially is respected, because it still ended up there, a year and a half was lost”stated Sorin Grindeanu.
The A7 Ploiesti – Buzau highway is 63.25 km long.
Lot 1 Dumbrava – Mizil stretches for a length of 21 km. The order to start the works was established on 22.08.2022, the value of the contract is 1.468 billion lei, excluding VAT, through the National Recovery and Resilience Program (PNRR), the contract being won by the Impresa Pizzarotti&SPA Association – Pizzarotti SA – Retter Project management SRL. The duration of the execution contract is 20 months, the opening date is set for October 2024, the current stage of the works being 67%.
Lot 2 Mizil – Pietroasele extends over a length of 28.35 km. The order to start the works was established on 12.08.2022, the value of the contract is 1,249,992,665 lei, without VAT, through PNRR, the contract being won by the SC Coni SRL Association – Trace Group Hold PLC. The duration of the execution contract is 20 months, the opening date was set for October 2024, the current stage of the works being 68%.
