Chris Martin is known, in particular, as the lead singer of the British band Coldplay. Born on March 2, 1977, in a small village in Devon, England, he comes from a rather large family, having four siblings.

The first band he founded was 'The Rocking Honkies' while studying at Exeter Cathedral School. Later, while attending University College in London, Chris Martin met those with whom he was to form the foundations of the rock band Coldplay in January 1998: Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Guy Berryman.
The band's debut album, titled “Parachutes”, enjoyed success. Coldplay subsequently released numerous albums, such as 'A Rush of Blood to the Head', 'X&Y', 'Ghost Stories Live 2014' and 'Mylo Xyloto'.
The lead singer of the band Coldplay and the famous actress Gwyneth Paltrow have been married for 13 years. In December 2003, the two joined their destinies, and a year later their daughter, Apple Martin, was born.
In 2006, the two became parents for the second time.
Concerts in Bucharest
The rock band Coldplay came to Romania for the first time, where they will hold their second concert on Thursday, June 13, as part of the “Music Of The Spheres” Tour, a tour to promote the album of the same name, released by the band in 2021.
The Coldplay concerts generated extraordinary interest, being sold-out in a short time, thus setting a new record for live music shows in Romania.
The first show of the British band, which took place on Wednesday, June 12, at the National Arena in the Capital, was not without incidents.
Before performing in Romania, Chris Martin confessed that he looked for local artists and that he found many that he appreciates. A manele singer, Babasha, a trending new generation artist, also took to the stage.
Chris Martin introduced him to the audience as “my new Romanian friend”, encouraging him despite mixed reactions from the audience. Almost 50,000 people attended Coldplay's first concert. The second concert takes place on Thursday, June 13.
