Journalist and sports commentator Arlind Sadiku, 34 years old, was excluded by UEFA from the list of journalists accredited for the European Championship after he imitated the smiling Albanian eagle in front of a whole tribune of Serbian supporters, reports sofoot.com.
It was a challenge in the opinion of the forum, which considered that the gesture of Sadiku, a Kosovar citizen, could have aggravated the situation on the sidelines during the match between Serbia and England.
The Albanian mass media was outraged and made the journalist a “national hero”, considering that he did nothing but symbolize the Albanian ethnicity, writes news.ro.
In Group C of the European Championship, Serbia was defeated 1-0 by England on June 16 in Gelsenkirchen.
