The liberals are plotting a “withdrawal” of Ciucă from the leadership of the PNL and from the race for the presidency, according to some sources.

Although the PNL got a good score in the local and European parliamentary elections, there is a major dissatisfaction in the ranks of the liberals, especially since some leaders say that they were helped by the pesedists to achieve this score.
According to journalists from Gândul, heads are being cut off in the party, and the most famous name is that of the head of the PNL, Nicolae Ciucă, who by all calculations is below the party’s score.
He would not have the necessary strength to enter the second round of the presidential elections, a fact for which the liberals want to turn to another name.
