Prince Harry is extremely popular globally, but few know what his real name is. His full name is Henry Charles Albert David, according to the Mirror.

When Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle was announced, the Royal House’s statement read it “His Majesty Prince Henry of Wales”.

During the WellChild Awards, he even joked that everyone calls him Harry and not Henry.

“My name is Henry, but everyone calls me Harry. I have no idea why”he said.

How he came to be called Harry is less known, but according to Metro, the name Henry comes from Henri, an old French name, and during the medieval period, the English adapted it to the form Harry.

Not only the popular prince has a lesser-known name, but also his wife, the Mirror notes. Meghan Markle’s real name is actually Rachel Meghan Markle.
