According to the admission calendar, at the Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) Bucharest in a few days the final results (first session) recorded by the candidates who wish to study here will be known. For the July 2024 admission session, the registration of candidates ended on Friday, July 19, 2024, from Monday, July 22, continuing the steps for admission in the academic year 2024-2025. A total of over 11,600 candidates registered.
How to become a student at ASE Bucharest
For most of the ASE Bucharest faculties, admission requires three steps:
1. Submission of a motivational essay – evaluated with the qualification admitted/rejected (the answer is available on July 22, on the website, in the candidate’s account);
2. Taking a language proficiency test (on July 23) – the test is taken online by candidates opting for programs taught in a foreign language;
3. The general admission average (MGA) calculated as a weighted average between the average obtained in the Baccalaureate exam with 70% + the average of the years of study with 30%. MGA=0.7*MB+0.3*MAS.
Completing the three steps is necessary for admission to the following faculties:
– Business Administration, with teaching in foreign languages;
– Administration and Public Management;
– Business and Tourism;
– Accounting and Management Information Systems;
– Agricultural and Environmental Economics;
– Theoretical and Applied Economics;
– Finance, Insurance, Banks and Stock Exchanges;
– Management;
– Marketing;
– International economic Relations.
For candidates who want to be admitted to the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics (CSIE), in addition to the motivational essay (assessed with the grade Admis/Rejected) and the language proficiency test (for the program in English), there is also an exam written in Mathematics (on July 25 – exam taken by candidates enrolling in university programs taught in Romanian; on July 26 – exam taken by candidates enrolled in university programs taught in English).
The general admission average (MGA) at the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics (CSIE) is calculated according to the following formula:
MGA = 0.7 * MB + 0.3 * MAS * EXAMINATION in MATHEMATICS discipline (ME) ADMISSION AVERAGE: MGA_CSIE=0.6 * MGA+0.4 * ME
And the candidates who want to be admitted to the Faculty of Law within ASE Bucharest have to take, in addition to the motivational essay test, an additional exam, on July 25, in the subjects Romanian Language (PLR) and Economics (PE), at the end calculating – a score for the grid test, required in the calculation of the admission average.
For candidates to the Faculty of Law:
• Motivational essay (assessed with the Admitted/Rejected qualification)
• Exam in the subjects: Romanian Language (PLR) and Economics (PE)
PT (grid test score)= PLR + PE
ADMISSION RIGHT AVERAGE: MGA_Drept = (𝑷𝑻+𝟏𝟎)/𝟏𝟎.
The minimum overall grade point average for admission to undergraduate degree programs is 5.00 (five).
