Apple unveils the newest generation of iPhones on Monday, September 9. The company will introduce the first range of smartphones designed specifically for generative artificial intelligence, which allows users to create text and images.

The iPhone becomes “shiny”. The event, held at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, has the tagline “It’s Glowtime” with the company’s logo surrounded by a colorful halo, according to CNN.
In terms of software, the AI platform called Apple Intelligence will debut, which also comes with a much more capable Siri assistant.
The company showed off some of the things that Apple Intelligence will be able to do. It will enable more natural conversations with Siri, help compose emails, make it easier to find specific moments in photo albums, and embed users’ personal information in responses.
The company’s job on Monday will be to show iPhone users how AI will work in everyday life.
There will be four models: iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. Also, the “Pro” screen size increases from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches (on the Pro Max) and from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches on the iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 16 will have a 6.1-inch screen, and the 16 Plus, 6.7 inches, but these two models will receive more powerful processors and more RAM memory (from 6 GB to 8 GB compared to the current generation ), writes the publication TechCrunch.
The big question: the price?
A major question heading into Monday’s event is how Apple will price the iPhone 16 lineup. For the past four years, the starting price at launch for new iPhones has been $799.
Apple enthusiasts have debated for years whether iPhone models should be cheaper, while investors would prefer maximum profit.
Many analysts, including CFRA Research’s Angelo Zino, say Apple could raise prices “across the board” for the iPhone lineup because of the new AI features and the cost to the company to deliver them, according to CNN.
However, it almost certainly won’t be a significant increase.
The event to reveal the new products will be followed, on September 20, by the start of sales of the new phones, as Apple has done in recent years.
Apple may also announce updates to the Apple Watch and AirPods. The Apple Watch Series 10 is expected to be slimmer than its predecessors but with a larger screen, and the company is also set to release new low-end and mid-range AirPods offerings.
