Gigi Becali, the patron of the FCSB, announced that he joined the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) party and that he will run on the party’s lists in the parliamentary elections. He declared that he will support George Simion in the race for the presidency of Romania.

George Simion revealed that the patron of the Romanian champion will be with him in the fight to win the position of president of Romania, and the reaction of the patron of FCSB was not expected.
“I have joined AUR and will support George Simion in the presidential election. I will not only support him, but I will run on the AUR lists for the Chamber of Deputies”, said Becali, according to Fanatik.
And Becali’s involvement in the election campaign is not limited to supporting Simion. On Sunday, September 22, he was seen with the president of AUR in Pechea commune in Galați county, where they brought aid to the people affected by the recent floods.
Simion stated that he will be supported by Gigi Becali in the reconstruction of the households affected by the floods in Galati.
In addition, the AUR decided to suspend all campaign activities in the following period, the only activity that the candidates and the party leadership will carry out is that of coming to the aid of the Romanians affected by the floods.
