Video FC Botoşani beat Rapid 2-0, at home, in the 12th stage of the Superliga

FC Botoşani won 2-0 at home against Rapid on Sunday, in the 12th stage of the Superliga, in a match dominated by the hosts.

Rapid had the first great opportunity of the game in Botoşani, in the 25th minute, when Friday Adams rejected Petrila’s shot from the empty goal. The debutant goalkeeper of the hosts, the Greek Anestis, blocked Jambor’s shot, and in the 45+1 minute Hromada sent it into the crossbar, according to news.ro.

After the break, the hosts were more dangerous and Chică-Roşa shot wide in the 49th minute, so that in the 52nd minute the same player opened the scoring, from six meters, with Francisco Junior’s deflected shot.

Rapid missed in the 88th minute with Săpunaru’s shot, but the hosts managed to increase their advantage a minute later.

Two of the Bucharest players collided involuntarily in the center of the field, the Moldovans recovered and Aldair Ferreira scored with a shot from the box, establishing the final score, 2-0 for FC Botoşani.

The Moldovans left the last place of the ranking, being now 15th, with 11 points. Rapid is in 12th place, with 13 points.
