The archbishop of Tomis stated on Radio Dobrogea, in the program to which he is invited weekly, that it is good for people to practice “our religious sport: matania” instead of going to the gym, considering that this is a “complete physical exercise”.

Of course, it is good for athletes to go to the gym, because they have chosen this path and it is blessed. But we have our religious sport, matania. There is no physical exercise more beneficial and more complete to set all the muscles of the body in motion than the matana, if done correctly.“, declared ÎPS Teodosie

He also added that people need to be careful, because “there are demons all around us”.

How can we avoid prying eyes?

The archbishop of Tomis also declared that the use of the interjection “zau” is a sin.

Yes, it really is a sin, because you take God as your witness in the little things“, also claimed Teodosie, during the show.

According to dictionaries, zau” is an interjection that strengthens an affirmation or a negation and has the meaning: “by my law”, “I swear that”, “indeed” or “without a doubt”.

He also explained why it is a sin to swear: “Because in an oath, as a rule, God is taken as a witness, and we must not involve God in all the little things we do.”

The archbishop also said how we can avoid the eyes. “We protect ourselves by praying unceasingly. There are people who become weak from the eyes, they are sick and then we must have continuous prayer. Let the priest especially pray for the blind, and if necessary, those close to him. Let’s keep ourselves out of sight by always keeping our mind and heart to God“, said Teodosie, on Radio Dobrogea.

He also said what prayers we can say when we have sleep disorders.

The prayers for sleep disorders are the intense ones, which call for God’s help in the evening and at night. Whenever you wake up, pray! And we make the most lively and powerful prayers: the Chapel of the Mother of God, of the holy helpers. And God will be closer to you“, explained the archbishop.

Also asked if someone can be baptized with the name Jesus, Theodosius also said: “It’s not appropriate!“.
