Seeing how this scandal is growing, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu took measures! Today, he confirmed that he summoned Elisabeta Lipă, the head of the National Sports Agency (ANS), to a meeting, so that she could receive explanations for the sums directed to the Rowing Federation.
Moreover, according to the information obtained by “Adevărul”, the Prime Minister’s Control Body has been carrying out checks at the ANS for several weeks, even the documents related to the awarding of the Olympians being seized. This information is also confirmed by the website of the Prime Minister’s Control Body.

*Verification of compliance with legal provisions and internal rules governing the organization and operation of the controlled entity.
*Verification of the manner in which public funds for sports activity were managed, respectively verification of the manner in which expenses were incurred for the realization of sports actions and awards, sports allowances, premiums and other rights were granted.
