Diana Sosoacă can run for the Senate even if she was forbidden to run for the presidential elections

Diana Șoșoacă, the president of SOS Romania, can run for the Senate despite the ban on running for the presidential elections following the CCR decision. The Electoral Office would have admitted her candidacy in the parliamentary elections.

The Electoral Office admitted that Diana Sosoacă can run for the Senate, informs Antena 3 CNN.

She also ran for the presidential elections, but the Constitutional Court admitted an appeal against her candidacy and thus Soșoacă could no longer participate in the competition for Cotroceni.

MEP Diana Şoşoacă, president of the SOS Romania Party, submitted her candidacy for the Romanian Senate on Thursday at the office of the Electoral District Office of the Municipality of Bucharest.
