Cristian Tudor Popescu commented, on Wednesday evening, on the PNL leader’s accusations regarding PSD’s alleged support for the AUR presidential candidate, so that Marcel Ciolacu and George Simion face each other in the second round of the elections. According to the journalist, because of this “smoky”Nicolae Ciucă can remain without the votes “to those who thought him stupid, but serious“.

“Mr. Ciucă says that PSD wants Simion in the 2nd round and that’s why he needs some votes, in agreement with the AUR candidate. Moreover, PSD wants this together with Russia. The fact that Nicu, Marcel’s former friend, has not the slightest proof of such a thing does not disturb him in the least. The question is: what can Mr. General get electorally by throwing such smoke? Obviously, he wants votes”wrote, in a post on Facebook, Cristian Tudor Popescu.
“Who should turn around and vote for Mr. Ciucă?
The famous journalist shows that the liberals’ accusations will backfire against Nicolae Ciucă:
“Hearing the “revelation” above, who will screw up and vote for Mr. Ciucă? Those who vote PSD? For them, Simion is by no means an adversary of the Party, he is also a great patriot, only younger and hotter. A possible indication to vote for the AUR leader would not be received with indignation. Anyway, no pesedist will turn to Ciucă. The Goldens? Well, they have an interest in getting their candidate in the 2nd round. So, nexam again. As for USR, Ms. Lasconi has just responded to the PNL president’s request that she wisely step down in his favor: “Ba pe a mà tii! You withdraw, because the party will throw you out anyway after you lose!”. On the contrary, Mr. Ciucă may be left without some votes: of those who thought he was stupid, but serious”.
“Now Iliescu’s Prostănacul can be seen, which even NATO could not defeat”
Cristian Tudor Popescu also commented on the position of former deputy general secretary of NATO, Mircea Geoană, presidential candidate, who declared, on Tuesday, in a press conference, that there is a “underground understanding” between the PSD leader Marcel Ciolacu and the head of the AUR, George Simion, so that both reach the second round of the presidential elections.
“Mircea Geoană he also supports the real logic rolled out of Becali’s stutterings. I mean, in fact, he is whining about not being able to beat Ciolacu and Simion by entering the 2nd round first and then winning the presidency, as he kept telling us. When he returned to the country, after many years in which he meant nothing for Romania, Mr. Geoană had only one political capital: his position at NATO. So, the voters expected him to be sober, talkative, precise, elevated, serious. In a word, to have a stick. That way, he could have also erased his sulphurous past. However, Geoană did not succeed, plunging headlong into the reservoir of Romanian political words, other than to make rags of his staff. Through which Iliescu’s Prostănacul can now be seen, which even NATO could not overcome”, the journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu also said.
