Ianis Hagi, praised after his third game as a Rangers starter. “Shades of a top player who has matured immensely”

Ianis Hagi is on the right track, after being reintroduced to Rangers’ first team. Incidence or not, since the Romanian international won his place in the starting line-up, the Scottish team, in a state of disrepair, went clockwork: 1-0, 6-0 and 3-0. The last result was recorded today, in the game with Ross County, in the 16th stage of the Scottish championship.

Even if he did not make a decisive contribution to the victory with a goal or an assist, Ianis Hagi was appreciated by the Scottish press. Used as an attacking midfielder in a 4-1-4-1 formation, he played for 87 minutes and was rated 7 by Rangers News.

“He is developing with more and more confidence and is finding his form after being brought back into the team. He was always a threat on the edge of the box. Tired in the second half, he continues to regain his fitness. Hagi shows the nuances of a top player, who has matured immensely”, wrote Rangers News.

In the previous two games in which he was used by coach Philippe Clement, Ianis Hagi also scored in the statistics. With St Johnstone he provided the goal assist for the only success of the match, and with Kilmarock he provided two assists.
