A product was withdrawn from sale, from a major chain of stores, because of the “unspecific” taste. Customers can return the product, receiving its value.

All batches of chocolate Christmas calendars delivered to Lidl stores in Romania have been withdrawn from sale by a manufacturer.
“Millano sp. z o. o. SKA regrets to inform you that, due to a sensory change – non-specific taste, which does not reflect the standard quality and taste of the product, all batches of Christmas calendars delivered to Lidl Romania stores are recalled from the consumer”, it is stated in the information published on the website of the National Sanitary-Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA).
The product has been withdrawn from sale, and the customers who bought it can return it to all Lidl stores, receiving the value of the product, even without presenting the tax receipt.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we have taken the necessary steps to determine the cause of this issue. Because Lidl Romania puts quality first, it reacted immediately and withdrew the affected product from sale“, the manufacturer also states, according to ANSVSA.
The withdrawal applies exclusively to the product “Christmas calendar” with EAN code 5900847005785 from the manufacturer Millano sp. z o. o. SKA Other products of this manufacturer are not affected by the recall.
