A survey on the presidential elections of 2025, conducted by Sociopol at the command of Romania TV, shows who the Romanians voted if the first round of the poll would take place next Sunday.

Calin Georgescu would have voted by 47%of Romanians if the next Sunday were elections, and the next rank would be Victor Ponta, with 16%, followed by Crin Antonescu (10%) and Nicușor Dan (10%), according to româniatv.net.

If Călin Georgescu will not be able to run, George Simion (24%) and Victor Ponta (22%) would enter the second round.

The survey conducted by Sociopol shows that 32% of Romanians consider George Simion most politically to inherit Călin Georgescu and to be the sovereign candidate in the presidential elections, if the latter will not be allowed to run.

Victor Ponta is placed in the second place, with 32% of the votes, and the third place is occupied by Gheorghe Piperea, with 4%.

We recall that the first round of the presidential elections this year will take place on May 4, and the second round is scheduled two weeks later, on May 18th.
