According to the Local Police, Ed Sheeran did not hold the necessary permits to organize an event on Church Street, a busy commercial area. A viral video captures the moment when a policeman disconnects the artist’s microphone. The Indian ANI agency reported that its request had been previously rejected, precisely to prevent safety issues.

On Instagram, Ed Sheeran claimed that he and his team had the necessary approval and that the location of the concert had been previously established. “I sang where it needed to be, there was nothing at random. Everything was okay ”, said the artist.

PC Mohan politician, a member of the Hindus BJP National Party, commented on the online incident, stating: “Even the world stars must follow the local rules. Without authorization, without concert ”.

The concert is part of the World Tournament “Mathematics” of Ed Sheeran. The artist is in India for the second consecutive year in a 15-day tour, after he has already played in PUP, Hyderabad and Chennai. He has several concerts scheduled in Shillong, northeast India, and in the capital of New Delhi.

At his show in Bangalore, Ed Sheeran surprised his fans singing two successful local songs in Telugu, along with singer Shilpa Rao on stage.
