The geography of Romania will be a separate discipline in the high school, announces Minister Daniel David, following discussions with more experts about the new framework plans.

“We need that component we discussed, namely a component of culture and national identity, in which I see the elements of grammar, the elements of history, but not every history, but the history of Romanians and Romania, the components of geography, but not Any geography, but the geography of Romania ”Daniel David said in a live broadcast on Facebook.
“As I said from the beginning and in all public discussions, I am willing to think the number of hours in the conditions in which we come up with this conceptualization and in the conditions in which we come with new models, in which we promote history, geography and grammar” Daniel David said.
The minister said that he had dicutors with experts. “I had a meeting with geographers, who also gave me another model to rethink the geography at the high school level, so that, after many years, we will have the subject of the geography of Romania again, which I wanted From the beginning. I initially thought about them-if you remember-to bring them to the 9th and 10th grades, to be able to offer all children, but I was open to other models. I said we cannot continue with what we have now ”, added the Minister of Education and Research.
The Minister of Education, Daniel David, recently drew an alarm about the functional illiteracy in the Romanian society and sent a message to the teachers participating in the debate in Cluj-Napoca on the projects related to the framework plans for high school.
